THE FUN RUN ROUTE
The New Orleans Zombie Run is a costumed two-mile fun run, walk, or crawl that kicks off Krewe of BOO parade day each Halloween season. The event brings together over 1,000 zombies, survivors, and zombie killers for a one-of-a-kind New Orleans spectacle.

The Zombie Run kicks off at Lucy’s Retired Surfer’s Bar & Restaurant in the Warehouse District. From there, the route runs down Girod Street to Convention Center Boulevard, then heads up Julia Street, crossing Tchoupitoulas and Magazine to reach St. Charles Avenue. You’ll loop around the circle before retracing the same route back to Lucy’s for the finish.

The morning begins with check-in and festivities at Lucy’s, followed by the 9:00 AM start, and culminates in a lively afterparty with live music, food, drinks, and celebration. Participants in full undead attire are chased by Zombie Killers from Big Easy Roller Derby.

Costumes are encouraged, chaos is guaranteed, and the Zombie Run sets the tone for a full day of Halloween revelry leading straight into the Krewe of BOO parade.
