Where the undead roam, the living sprint, and the city becomes the story.

In New Orleans, Halloween isn’t a single night—it’s a season. And one of its most adrenaline-fueled traditions is the Annual New Orleans Zombie Run, a high-energy, immersive experience where costumes collide with cardio and the streets transform into a living (and undead) playground.

This isn’t just a race. It’s a chase. A spectacle. A love letter to New Orleans’ obsession with theatricality, storytelling, and doing everything just a little bit extra.

🏃‍♀️ Run for Your Life (Literally)

At its core, the Zombie Run is a heart-pounding fun run where participants take on the role of survivors trying to outrun—and outsmart—a horde of zombies. Along the course, runners encounter costumed undead determined to slow them down, steal their flags, or simply give them the fright of their life.

You can run it hard. You can jog it. You can scream-laugh your way through the whole thing.

However you choose to survive, one thing’s guaranteed: your heart will be racing long before the finish line.

🎭 Costumes Encouraged. Commitment Required.

This is New Orleans—we don’t do half-hearted costumes. The Zombie Run brings out everything from fully prosthetic-packed zombies to survivors in apocalyptic couture, military chic, disco undead, and blood-splattered royalty.

Whether you arrive as:

  • a freshly turned zombie

  • a fearless survivor

  • or something beautifully unclassifiable

you’re part of the show. Spectators line the route, cameras flash, and suddenly the run feels less like a race and more like a moving horror movie filmed live on city streets.

🎃 A Halloween Tradition with New Orleans Flavor

What makes the New Orleans Zombie Run different from any other zombie event? The setting—and the spirit.

Running past historic architecture, under moss-draped oaks, and through neighborhoods that already feel cinematic, the city itself becomes a character in the experience. Add in New Orleans’ deep love of costuming, performance, and playful chaos, and you’ve got an event that feels equal parts fitness challenge and street theater.

It’s spooky. It’s funny. It’s gloriously unhinged—in the best way.

🕯️ More Than a Run

The Annual New Orleans Zombie Run is about community, creativity, and embracing the joy of becoming someone—or something—else for a day. It’s where locals and visitors, athletes and casual walkers, horror fans and costume addicts all collide in one unforgettable experience.

You’ll leave sweaty. You’ll leave smiling. You’ll probably leave with at least one great story about “that zombie who almost got you.”

🧟‍♀️ Are You Ready to Join the Horde?

Whether you’re running for your life or chasing down survivors, the Annual New Orleans Zombie Run invites you to step into the story, embrace the chaos, and celebrate Halloween the New Orleans way—loud, theatrical, and unforgettable.

So lace up your shoes.Apply the fake blood.Practice your zombie moan.

The undead are waiting.
